Public Safety Building – syracuse, ny

The Syracuse Police Department and Fire Department relocated the Public Safety Building Headquarters to the former Lipe Rollway Building. Working with Hueber Breuer Construction, the adaptive reuse project now houses the training, offices and core functions for the PD and FD to operate with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. The 100,000 square foot renovation is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Lipe Rollway Corp was an early and mid 20th century industrial manufacturing facility for items such as bearings and gears. The industrial feel of the building remains in the renovation as a backdrop to the modernized Public Safety Building.
